For Henri Lafourcade, a good partnership begins with a conversation. Having recently joined Ozion as Business Developer for Vigigo, he wants to put his client relationship experience to work with a clear goal: understand security professionals more closely, support their projects and help solutions evolve alongside their needs.

A career connected by people

Henri grew up in an expatriate family, spending several years in Argentina before pursuing studies in the United States and France. His professional path has since taken him into very different environments, including events, humanitarian initiatives and, most significantly, the dental sector with a US-based international group.

Working with healthcare professionals taught him to follow projects closely, understand the obstacles clients face and look for answers that genuinely help them develop their work. Other experiences brought him into contact with people with very different backgrounds and expectations. Above all, that variety taught him to listen and adapt.

“I realized that what I enjoyed in the jobs I'd held was human contact and trying to find solutions for my clients.”

The common thread is less about a particular industry than a way of working: taking time to know the people behind each project.

Why Ozion? The appeal of a new challenge

What first attracted Henri to Ozion was the challenge of a new environment: an intriguing product, a close-knit company, and the opportunity to discover the worlds of security operations and software. For him, this next step is as much about bringing his experience to the team as continuing to learn.

After working in a multinational company, he was interested in a more close-knit environment, where teams can exchange ideas directly and contribute to practical client solutions. The product appealed to him during his first interviews, as did the chance to learn about two new fields: security operations and software.

He brings experience in business development and client relationships, while approaching the sector with curiosity and a willingness to learn. That combination of existing skills and new challenges is an important part of his motivation.

Listen first, then earn trust

Henri does not see his role as a sequence of demonstrations or sales pitches. He starts with the client's reality: their responsibilities, goals, constraints, and sometimes frustrations. Understanding those details makes it possible to see not just what someone is asking for, but what would actually make their day-to-day work easier.

“I'm here to try to understand the client's needs, what they need, and bring them solutions step by step.”

For Henri, useful conversations often go beyond the question that prompted the meeting. They reveal how an organization works, what its teams are managing and where change could make a practical difference. Listening is not merely a step before a sale; it is part of the service.

“In fact, they're not buying a product; they're working with a person they like.”

That focus on people also shapes his commitment to individual follow-up: getting to know clients, being available, and making progress over time instead of looking for a quick answer to every request.

Helping Vigigo clients move forward

Henri's immediate priority is to continue developing relationships with existing Vigigo clients. He wants to reconnect, hear their feedback and better understand what is already working, what needs adjusting, and what they might want to develop next.

In his view, client support does not end when software is installed. It continues through project follow-up, a clearer understanding of what happens on site and adjustments that can make operations run more smoothly. Even a seemingly straightforward equipment or workflow request can take research, coordination, and several conversations to resolve. Finding the right fit is part of what makes the work rewarding to him.

“The objective really is to understand their needs and respond to them. Vigigo is a somewhat tailor-made tool. We can adapt it to all our clients' needs.”

He values Vigigo's ability to adapt to different priorities. Some teams need better patrol tracking; others place more importance on reporting, traceability, or a clear overview of activity across a site. His role is to help clients make the most of those capabilities, relay their needs and work with Ozion's teams toward the right solution.

Ultimately, he wants clients to feel supported, make progress in how they use Vigigo, and gain confidence and autonomy over time. He even suggests that a day without a call could be a good sign, if it means everything is running as it should.

“We're no longer a supplier of products. We're a supplier of solutions.”

Sharing the potential he sees in Vigigo

One of Henri's strongest motivations is his belief in how much Vigigo can offer security professionals. Since joining Ozion, he has been discovering the breadth of the platform's capabilities and has found that people who might benefit from it are not always aware of everything it can do.

“I realize that people aren't aware of what Vigigo represents. It's quite an exceptional tool that gives you a 360-degree view of what's happening inside a building, right on your computer screen.”

For Henri, that overall visibility is a major strength. Just as important, though, is the ability to adapt the platform to different roles and operational priorities. A site manager, security provider, and frontline team may each need different information, workflows and measures of performance.

“If someone wants more patrols, if someone wants data, if someone wants more precise information in certain areas, we can adapt it. And that's something I like.”

He wants to introduce Vigigo through conversation, rather than a one-size-fits-all sales presentation. His approach is to understand how each organization works, then demonstrate the applications most relevant to its teams: tracking activities on site, accessing useful information, coordinating people, and gaining clearer visibility over daily operations.

His ambition is about more than awareness. He wants more professionals to see how Vigigo could fit their operations, share their ideas, and make progress with a solution tailored to their work. That curiosity about real operational needs also shapes his presence at Expoprotection 2026, where he is looking forward to meeting industry professionals and hearing about their priorities.

Building things outside work, too

That satisfaction in seeing projects through also appears in one of Henri's personal interests: woodworking, which he studied in evening classes. He enjoys imagining a piece, working through the details and seeing an idea take shape. It reflects what he values in his professional life too: conversations that lead to something concrete.

“I like building, but physically, I like making furniture. I like when things are straight. I like when things are square. I like when the project I had in mind becomes something real.”

That satisfaction in building something tangible also informs how he works with others: starting from an idea, listening to different perspectives, and following through on a practical solution.

What comes next?

In the months ahead, Henri aims to deepen his understanding of the security sector, maintain attentive client follow-up, and keep projects moving in response to real operational needs. His goal is not simply to introduce Vigigo, but to help teams make the solution their own, identify opportunities for improvement, and keep progressing with Ozion.
