TECHNOLOGY EMPOWERING HUMAN SERVICES
Two editions, two continents, one focus. The Airport PRM Leadership Conference is the only event in the world completely focused on airport PRM operations. It brings together the airport, airline, service provider and regulatory leaders who run assistance services for passengers with reduced mobility (PRM). Here is a look back at the last two editions, in Paris and in Miami, and a first word on what comes next.
On November 8, 2023, the 8th edition brought the European PRM community to Paris, aboard a boat on the Seine within sight of the Eiffel Tower. The day was built for professionals in terminal services, operations, facilities, customer experience, passenger services, innovation and aviation technology. Entry was free for airport, service provider, airline and regulatory PRM stakeholders.
The delegate list included representatives from IATA, ACI, AENA, VINCI Airports, Groupe ADP, Heathrow, MAG Airports, British Airways and easyJet. Discussions were moderated by William L. Neece, Conference Director at Ozion, and Roberto Castiglioni MBE, Director of Reduced Mobility Rights.
The program combined established industry voices with newer ones. Between talks, delegates also got hands-on with new mobility technology.
Finalists presented their PRM initiatives on stage and the delegates voted for the winner. First place went to Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernåndez Airport in Spain, with London Stansted Airport named first runner-up. Signed by William L. Neece, Ozion CEO Romain Théret and Roberto Castiglioni MBE, the certificates recognize the outstanding efforts each airport has made in accessibility.
Alicante-Elche joins the previous winners: Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (2020), Miami International Airport (2021), and King Khalid International Airport with the King Salman Center for Disability Research (2022).
The conference crossed the Atlantic for its 9th edition, hosted by Miami International Airport on May 13, 2025 under the theme Bridging Aviation's Accessibility Divide. It opened the week just before Aviation Festival Americas 2025 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The program focused on operational efficiency and cost control, regulatory compliance, and case studies of innovation in accessible service delivery. Managers and above from airports, airlines and service providers attended free of charge.

Across all three sessions, delegates saw value in aligning ACI, AAAE, ACT, ICAO and the disability community behind a global framework for best practice in accessible air travel.
Paris celebrated the airports setting the pace, with the Airport PRM Accessibility Award chosen by the delegates themselves. Miami looked ahead, with delegates asking how PRM assistance can go further than regulation requires. In both cities, the same questions kept coming back:
